Malala Yousafzai survived a Taliban attack as a teenager for refusing to give up her right to learn – and turned that survival into the world's most powerful case for girls' education. She became the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate in history.
Her fight belongs at the heart of the climate story: Project Drawdown ranks girls' education among the highest-impact climate solutions, yet an estimated 129 million girls remain out of school.
